The effective instances that the sample Op-Ed uses on my topic is how it approaches the topic of racism and cops. Many people believe that cops are always on a power trip and use their badge to discipline those of different color as well as ones with a history of being well-known to the public aka NFL football players. Many believe that cops come down harder on those in the NFL because for once, the NFL players do not have authority to intimidate others by their representation of "who" they are and "what" they can get away with. Now, the man in the uniform has authority and many will take full advantage of this.

The ineffective instance about this Op-Ed is that it seems to cover many arguments instead of just pin-pointing one and running with it like the title suggest. My topic is only mentioned in a small paragraph of this Op-Ed but the surrounding information pertains to my argument and can be used if used in a different form. The length of this Op-Ed is not as lengthy as an Op-Ed should be but it does account for one.
